SIMMONS, Virginia, age 82, of Dover, passed away on January 28, 2003. Mrs. Simmons was a member of Sydney Baptist Church. She is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, John Simmons; her son, Rodger; and her sister, Nell Clark. Survivors include two sons, Ed Simmons and wife, Diane of Dover and Terry Simmons and wife, Brenda of Dover; one brother, J. E. Bledsoe of Dover; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, at 9:30 a.m. and services will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Wells Memorial Chapel, with Reverend Phillip Grimes officiating. Interment will be a Turkey Creek Cemetery.
