FURNEY, Mary L., 87, of Tampa, Florida passed away on Friday, February 9, 2001. She is survived by two sons; Robert Furney and his wife Lacey of Dover, Florida and Roy Furney of Tampa, Florida; one daughter, Louise McKinney and her husband Jim of Brandon, Florida; one sister, Christine Torre of Brandon, Florida; three sisters-in-law, Lucille Fowler of Sidney, Florida; Alberta Furney of Seffner, Florida and Flossie Hendrix of Lakeland, Florida; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Furney is preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Lee Furney in 1994 and she was a homemaker and a member of the East Chelsea Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida. Mrs. Furney moved to the Tampa area in 1931 from Danville, Georgia. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning, February 13, 2001 at Wells Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Bob Franklin, to officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Larry McKinney, Michael Furney, Milton Furney, Rodney Donnell, Bruce Smith and Rocky Furney. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Turkey Creek Cemetery, Plant City, Florida.
