BAKER, Laura "Larre", 83, of Ruskin, passed away December 26, 2002 at South Bay Hospital. She was born in Spokane, Washington and came here in 1946 from Canton, Ohio. She was a member of the Ruskin United Methodist Church, the Garden Club of Sarasota and the Ruskin Woman's Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam; and a son, Jimmy. She is survived by a son, Garry and his wife, Jan of Austin, Texas; three grandsons, Donald, James and Garry Joe; two brothers; a sister, all of Akron, Ohio; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2003 at the Ruskin United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. David Looney. Interment will follow in Ruskin Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
