ABBEY, SR., Robert G., 72, of Gibsonton passed away Sunday, August 17, 2003. Robert was a lifelong resident of Tampa. He was from a loving family of eight brothers and sisters and was a great father and friend. He worked for Cummings Diesel for 30 years. Survivors include wife, Iva Abbey of Gibsonton, Fla.; son, Robert G. Abbey Jr. of Gibsonton, Fla.; daughters, Janet E. Mason of Jacksonville and Linda J. Abbey of Clayton, Ga.; brother Norman Roy Abbey of Hotsprings, Ark.; sisters Carol S. Zukow of Springhill, Fla. and Sharon Crews of Alpharetta, Ga.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will conducted 10 a.m. on Friday, August 22, 2003 at Serenity Meadows Funeral home. Interment will follow at Providence Cemetery . The family will recieve friends 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, at the Funeral Home.
