BLANTON, Betty R., 71, of Durant, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2004. Mrs. Blanton was born in Blooming- dale and was a lifelong resident and lifetime member of Pleasant Grove Assembly of God. Survivors include five daughters, Lavaun Worley of Alabama, Dell Brock and husband Ray of Punta Gorda, Fla., Patricia Godwin and husband John of Ocala, Fla., Norma Ziglar and husband Arthur of Bowling Green, Fla., and Reba Beavers and husband James of Tampa, Fla.; two sons, Shawn Blanton of Tampa, and Samuel Blanton and wife Tracy of Durant, Fla.; one sister, Delores Barndt of Pennsylvania; one brother, Charles Baggett of Colorado; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 3, 2004, at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Assembly of God Church, and funeral services will begin at 2 p.m., with Pastor Harris and Pastor Larry Powell officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery .
