BACON, Celia DeLaney, 93, of Durant, passed away November 8, 2001. She is predeceased by her first husband, Rev. Dewey DeLaney. Survivors include her husband, Eddie Bacon; two step-sons, Ray and Ronnie, Sr.; one step-grandchild Ronnie, Jr.; one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Her occupations were comprised of Sunday School teacher, song leader, organist, pianist, accordion pl er, homemaker, and many others. She was a member of Forest Park Church of God and the Ladies Auxiliary. Although, she was never a parturient, her motherhood was innumerable and her mark will be etched in our hearts forever. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 10, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. from Hopewell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery . The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday (tonight) from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
