ELLIOTT, Lotus H., age 79, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 17, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Helen Cornett Elliott; two sons, Dan Elliott of Lexington, Kentucky and Jerry Elliott and wife, Ruth Ann of Odessa, Florida; three grandchildren, Dixie Elliott, Auburn University, Alabama, Danny B. Elliott, Lexington, Kentucky and Mrs. Robert (Mieke) Nelson, Greer, South Carolina; several brother and sisters-in-law; nieces; and nephews. Also surviving are two brothers, Carlos of Louisville, Kentucky and Eugene of Greensburg, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Elizabeth Elliott; and two brothers; and two sisters. Mr. Elliott was retired from G.T.E. in Tampa. He was a veteran of World War II Corp. of Engineers, a 32 degree mason for 55 years and a charter member of Northgate Baptist Church serving as chairman of the Building Committee of the First Sanctuary. Mr. Elliott was a native of Greensburg, Indiana and lived in this area since 1953. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. at the Sanctuary of Northgate Baptist Church on 1301 W. Linebaugh Ave., Tampa. Interment will follow in Lake Carroll Cemetery . The family will receive friends Monday, 7-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made in his memory to the Pepin Heart Center, University Community Hospital, Tampa, FL.
