BURGER, John, Sr., 81, of Tampa, passed away October 3, 2001 in Tampa. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy L. Burger; daughter, JoRene Schretzmeijer and husband, Kees; son, John Burger, Jr. and wife, Julie; four grandchildren, Lewis Lackos and wife, Karen, Sheri Spencer and husband, Sam, Leah Burger and John L. Burger; great-grandson, Cassidy Lackos; brother, Milton Burger and wife, Nancy. Mr. Burger was a tail gunner in the 306th Bomb Squadron in World War II and also served in Korea and Vietnam. He retired as an Air Force Major. Mr. Burger was also a retired Hillsborough County Sheriffs Deputy and a member of the A.W. Windhorst Lodge #185 F.& A.M. Graveside services will be held Monday 1:00 p.m. at Lake Carroll Cemetery with military honors afforded by MacDill Air Force Base Honor Guard. The Family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Masonic services at 7:00 p.m. at
