BAKER, Ruby Virginia, 97, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2006, at Melech Hospice House, Temple Terrace, surrounded by her family. She was a native of South Carolina and had lived in Tampa since 1935. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Claude King Baker. Ruby is survived by her daughters, Mary Hess (John) and Susan Lizer. Ruby was a devoted wife, loving mother and "grandma" to eight grandchildren, 21 great-grand-children and four great-great-grandchildren. She will be tremendously missed by her family. The family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Sunday, February 26. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with graveside services immediately following at Lake Carroll Cemetery .
