ZICHLIN, Sylvia, of Tampa, died Monday, April 4, 2005, at her home. Mrs. Zichlin was born in New York City and came to Tampa from Coney Island in 1952. She worked for the MEM Company as the receptionist and secretary and later was the receptionist and secretary for over 20 years at her husband's medical practice. Mrs. Zichlin was a dedicated volunteer at the B.C. Graham Elementary School and served as president of the PTA for a number of years. She was a former member of Congregation Rodeph Sholom and a member of Congregation Kol Ami. She was loved by all who knew her. Survivors include her beloved husband of 52 years, Dr. Jack Zichlin; sons and daughter-in-law, Fred Zichlin, and Ira and Susan Zichlin; daughters and sons-in-law, Edee and Rick Hammer, and Sally and Stuart Pliskow; sister, Mildred Herman; and grandsons, Jared and Ethan Pliskow. The family wishes to thank St. Joseph's Hospital, Dr. Remigio Palumbo, Dr. Michael Pickering, the BMA Carrollwood Dialysis Center and Mrs. Zichlin's caregiver, Joy, from Affinity for their thoughtful care and concern shown during her convalescence. Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. today, Tuesday, at Gan Shalom Cemetery .
