WASSER, Larry, age 56, of Tampa, died Monday, June 2, 2003. Larry was born in New York and came to Tampa in 1981 from New Jersey. He attended Ole Miss and was a graduate of Rider College in New Jersey. He was the executive director of the Florida Holocaust Museum and was the former executive director of the Jewish National Fund where he served for 15 years. Larry was an active, integral part of Tampa's Jewish community having served in numerous voluntary capacities and was a member of Congregation Kol Ami. Survivors include his beloved wife of 35 years, Deena; loving sons and daughter-in-law, Kurt and Shari Wasser of Westin, Fla. and Adam Wasser of Los Angeles, Calif.; devoted sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Preston Rowe of Atlanta, Ga.; and cherished grandson, Miles Wasser. Funeral services will be held today, (Wednesday), 10:00 a.m. at Congregation Kol Ami, 3919 Moran Road. Rabbi Joel Wasser will officiate. Interment will follow at Gan Shalom Cemetery . In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Congregation Kol Ami or to the Florida Holocaust Museum.
