SCHAECHTER, Fanny, 98, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, surrounded by her loving family. Fanny was born in Romania, grew up in Germany and was a Holocaust survivor. She came to the Tampa Bay area in 1978 from Jersey City, N.J. Fannie lived at Weinberg Village for the last seven years and was a member of Congregation Kol-Ami. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Sally. Survivors include her daughter, Doris Field, and husband, Steven; grandchildren, Marc and wife, Emily, Melissa and husband, Scott, and Seth; great-grandchildren, Nathan and Darcy; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday), May 16, 2007, at Congregation Kol-Ami, 3919 Moran Road, Tampa, with Rabbi Joel Wasser officiating. Interment will follow at Gan Shalom Cemetery on County Line Road.
