DYKES, Walter, 72, of Gibsonton, passed away October 19, 2002. He was a former Florida State Trooper, retired from DOT, served in the US Army and was of the Protestant faith. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. at the graveside with Rev. Ervin T. June officiating. He is survived by his daughters, Sheryl Ford of Cottonwood, Ala., Patricia of Gibsonton, and Brenda Warren of Plant City; brothers, Irvin Dykes of Plant City and James of Okeechobee; and four grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-7:30 p.m. at Sydney Baptist Church. Interment will be in Bloomingdale Cemetery  .
