BURTON, Edna Stanford, 92, of Riverview, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday,April 26, 2006. A teacher in public schools of Hillsborough County for 40 years, her first school was Gibsonton Elementary School, which consolidated with Riverview Elementary School, where she taught her entire career. After retirement, she helped organize and taught at East Bay Christian School. She was the daughter of Jim and Macy Stanford and the wife of the late Robert Burton III. She is survived by her daughter, Kay Burton Jones; son, Robert "Bob" Burton IV; brother, Donald Stanford; sister, Emma Lee Turner; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends to cherish her memory. Visitation will take place 6-8 p.m. today (Friday) at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, Riverview. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Bloomingdale Baptist Church with interment to follow at Bloomingdale Cemetery . Serenity Meadows
