GRIFFIN, Yzette Y., 89, of Sun City Center, Fla., entered into rest May 25, 2007. Yzette was Baptist by faith and spent most of her adult life in the Plant City area. She and her husband were the proprietors of the Cork Community Store. She received her Associate of Science in social work and retired after 20 years of service with the State of Florida, Health and Rehabilitative Services division. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She will be sadly missed. Yzette was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Albert, and is survived by her children, Albert R. Griffin, Karen R. Ryals (Bobby), Arlene G. Smith (Don); several brothers and sisters, nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will take place 11 a.m. Monday, May 28, 2007, at Stowers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Interment to follow at Antioch Cemetery . The family will receive flowers, or those who wish may make contributions to St. Petersburg College, (727) 341-3302, in Yzette's memory.
