CASTLEBERRY, Delmar D. "Cass," 84, of Plant City, Fla., went peacefully to be with his Lord December 8, 2009, at home. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bertie Lee; and son, Daryl D. Castleberry. He is survived by his daughter, Diana Luppens (Chris); son, Glenn Castleberry; and daughter, Denise Castleberry; "Kid-sister," JoRae Guthrie (Bud); sister-in-law, Betty Benson; seven grand-children, Chris, Jr. (Shannon), Tracie, Yvonne (John), Kevin (Tara), Adam (Lisa), Sheryl and Greg; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grand-children; and was loved by many nieces, nephews and friends. Cass was employed by Tampa Electric and worked up to position of supervisor of plant operations. He retired after 42 years of outstanding service. His hobbies included picking and preserving strawberries then sharing them with his family and friends. He also enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, being "champ" in the game of rummy and a top bowler in Wii and enjoyed the lively music at the Florida Opry. He was a devoted son, brother, husband, father and grandfather, who was loved and will be missed dearly. He had great faith in God and prayer and enjoyed handing out prayer cloths as a witness to the blessings of God and the power of prayer. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m., with visitation one hour prior, December 12, 2009, at the Old Hopewell Baptist Church, 6001 County Road 39 South, Plant City, Fla., followed by intermit at Pelote Cemetery .
