ALLEN, J.E. "Buddy," 72, of Plant City, Fla., departed this life August 22, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Shirley; children, June Elizabeth "Libby" Allen, Michael Wayne Allen, Russell Allen, Linda Mitchell, and Rebecca Price; eight grandchildren, Michael Mitchell, Amber Allen, Mikala Mitchell, Ashley Allen, Ashley Price, Willis Mitchell, Caleb Price and Jasmine Price; four sisters; and three brothers. The family will receive friends for visitation 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 County Road 39 S., Plant City. Services will take place 11 a.m. Thursday, August 27, at Turkey Creek Church of God, 5312 Turkey Creek Road, Durant, FL 33530. Interment will follow in Pelote Cemetery .
